Twist the dial to pop open the inner drawer. Let go and the drawer snaps closed and stays closed until you dial it open again. Locked is its natural state. The drawer has a mark on the front indicating the top so you don't open it upside down. Protected wheel wont “just open”. Super fun magnet project. I had a lot of fun making it. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ARE BELOW THE VIDEO - VERY IMPORTANT TIPS THERE.NANO - 41mm X 29.5mm X 18mm (24pcs 4mm X 2mm Magnets) EXTRA SMALL - 58mm X 37.5mm X 19mm (8pcs 6mm X 3mm Magnets) SMALL “OG” - 78mm X 50mm X 25mm (8pcs - 8mm X 3mm Magnets) MEDIUM - 93mm X 60mm - 30mm (8pcs - 10mm X 3mm Magnets) EXTRA MEDIUM - 113.5mm X 60mm X 30mm (8pcs - 10mm X 3mm Magnets) LARGE - 116mm X 75mm X 37mm (16pcs - 10mm X 3mm Magnets)Prints perfectly with no brim on a smooth PEI plate with some adhesive for back up. If you are NOT using a smooth PEI plate or adhesive, consider adding a brim.Prints best in PLA+ or stronger. Regular PLA is very prone to the pin breaking so I would strongly encourage you to use PLA+ for the outer housing and knob. Likewise SILKS are VERY brittle and I would simply avoid those on a project like this. Standard PLA and Silks are fine for the drawer and the two color look is pretty rad. Tray prints on a 45 degree angle so for support free printing. A smooth PEI plate with some adhesive makes this foolproof. We use DimaFix. The main body requires no support for most filaments. The Bambu printers easily bridge that distance and thick bridges are enabled. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS - IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR YOUR SUCCESS!Once you press the magnets into the knob, insert the drawer to support the top and snap the knob onto the outer housing by pressing it straight on. Placing it on a flat surface and pressing it straight down works great. Trying to wiggle it on at odd angles will break it. Once its on, its 100% GTG. Small Uses 8 pcs of 8mm X 3mm Rare Earth Magnets, Medium uses 8pcs - 10mm X 3mm, Large uses 16 10mm X 3mm. (See BOM) - Simply press them in with a drop of super glue, two on each side of each part, (4 on each side for large) with the polarity flipped! Press in two, then the other two the opposite way. You cant get it wrong as long as you do the knob and the drawer the same way. Magnets press in, Add a drop of glue to secure them permanently. - NANO needs a little clean up as it is SO SMALL. Use a hobby knife to remove any residual brim material and flaring from the housing for smoothest operation BEFORE you put the drawer in.
